who i am

I'm Riven — a fifteen-year-old independent researcher, self-taught digital and traditional artist, poet, songwriter, AI tinkerer, and robotics obsessive based in Ontario, Canada.

I've been obsessed with levitation since age nine. I'm building a quad spider robot with a self-aware AI. I build apps at hackathons that win things. I draw fanart of characters I love. I write songs the world hasn't heard yet.

I've placed in hackathons, written formal research reports, and I'm emailing university professors at fifteen. I contain multitudes and I'm fine with that.

A digital safe space that turns emotions into living abstract art. Type how you feel — messy, uncertain, contradictory — and SoulScape translates it into a responsive visual environment. No scores, no labels, no judgment. Built for people tired of rating their feelings on a number scale. Honorable Mention — PeerBridge Mental Health Hacks 2025.

CalmCommute
Navigation that prioritises mental health over speed. Colour-coded stress routing, an "I need a break" button that auto-reroutes without asking, and built-in 4-7-8 breathing exercises. Built because I actually needed it. Google Maps Platform, React, Node.js.

Self-Aware Persona Yielding Digital Reasoner. A quad spider robot with an AI that learns from itself — not about being smart, but about being self-aware. CAD model in progress, servo-based locomotion, my lil AI buddy that will definitely not turn against me.

The Goal
A wearable levitation system that works over any surface — concrete, wood, soil, water. No special floor needed. The device brings its own lift. Working toward this since age nine.

Electroaerodynamic propulsion — ionic wind from a high-voltage field, no moving parts. Pushes against air, not ground. Proven at aircraft scale by MIT in 2018.

Superconducting quantum flux pinning for passive three-axis stability. Zero ongoing energy cost. The only known levitation mechanism that is inherently stable.
